Has a wound been keeping your life at standstill?

Non-healing wounds have become a growing problem in the United States as a result of both an aging population as well as the increase in diabetes. Approximately 21 million Americans have diabetes and of that population 1.8 million will suffer from a problem wound.

As the Permian Basin faces this same epidemic, the Wound Management center at Midland Memorial Hospital is there to help. This is an out-patient, hospital-based program that works in conjunction with the patients primary care physician, and specializes in the treatment of problem wounds.

The Wound Management Centers' medical experts provide patients with individualized treatment plans that include the most advanced wound care therapies available today.

This specialized approach offers treatments that radically speed the healing process.

The center is open Monday -Friday, from 8am-5pm.

The program operates by appointment only  - and they take both self referrals and physician referrals. Ask your physician about wound management options or call Midland Memorial Hospital's wound management center directly at 685-4850.
