MIDLAND -- The city of Midland reported its first case of West Nile on Monday.
That brings the total cases this year to six, one in Andrews County, one in Glasscock County, three cases in Howard County and one in Midland.
The Center for Disease Control advises people to dump all standing water or to treat rain water.
They also suggest you limit the amount of time you spend outside around dawn or dusk.
If you are outside around these times, wear long sleeves or use insect repellant with DEET.
