BIG SPRING -- Monday there was a Veteran's Day 5K walk/run in Big Spring.
It started near the Big Spring Vietnam Memorial.
Those who wanted to walk began at 5:00 pm
The runners and joggers took to the course at 5:30 pm.
The organizer of the event, Dwight Sims, says "There's not a better project to raise money for on Veteran's Day than the Wounded Warrior's Project, so that's what they did today."
Registration was $25.00, and that includes a shirt, and a BBQ plate at the end of the run.
Organizers say the walk/run is a way to give thanks to veterans everywhere.
