UPDATE: Man Arrested In Midland on Explosives Charges

A Midland man was arrested at his job after police were told he had explosives.
UPDATE: Tuesday Ruben Rodriguez was found competent to stand trial.

Rodriguez is being charged with possession of explosive material and detonation cord and felon in possession of a firearm.

His trial is set for December 4.

MIDLAND -- A Midland man was arrested at his job after police were told he had explosives.

Reuben Rodriguez is now facing federal charges after the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Department was called to his home.

Around 9:00 am, police responded to a call that there were explosive materials in his home in the 600 block of Cuthbert.

Police are still investigating.
