BIG SPRING -- "One guy pointed a gun at me and then another guy came with a shot gun and they told me to get on the ground," said a 14-year-old boy who was home at the time of the home invasion.
BIG SPRING -- "One guy pointed a gun at me and then another guy came with a shot gun and they told me to get on the ground," said a 14-year-old boy who was home at the time of the home invasion.

A 14-year-old boy says he's traumatized after three armed men broke into his home pretending to be police.

"They're asking me, where do we keep our money, they're telling me that we knew that you had money and stuff," the boy said.

All of this going on while his younger sisters are asleep in their rooms.

Their mother, who asked to remain anonymous as well, says she came back from the store to find her front door busted open.

She says the armed men had been watching to see when she left.

"They had to have been watching. Because it happened that quick. I wasn't gone for no more than maybe 10 minutes at the most," the boy's mother said.

According to police, another home invasion happened nearby, a couple hours later.

Officers say that homeowner was shot in his right leg.

But the mother we talked to says there were more break-ins.

"I know that there's several other people that they robbed, but did not plan on calling the police department at all," the boy's mother said.

A woman living nearby says she woke up in the middle of the night to sounds as if someone was trying to break in her home.

She also wanted to remain anonymous.

"Somebody was messing with our front door, the door knob and I kept hearing the screen door slam back and forth," the woman said.

After learning of the home invasions, she says she now has plans to get out of the neighborhood.
