CARLSBAD -- Carlsbad High School was placed on lock down Friday afternoon.
According to police, around 1:30 pm the school received a report that a man was on his way to the school to kill a student.
The high school, as well as Monterrey Elementary near the high school were then placed on lockdown as a safety measure.
One of the parents of a student told authorities that another student's guardian was threatening her son.
The man she accused was already on the campus when the school was notified, he was in the principal's office waiting to speak to school officials.
He was searched and and questioned and school officials concluded he wasn't a threat.
