Jeffery Henry David Bowman and Amber Diane Thomas were arrested on December 28th.

Authorities say Bowman, 22, and Thomas, 24, forged checks from an 84-year-old man's checkbook -- after someone stole from that man's vehicle on December 21st.

Some of the forged checks were made out to Thomas, and another was made out to Bowman. Those checks were cashed at 7-Elevens and Walmarts in Midland.

In all, 8 checks were forged, totaling $1683.16.
