2012 was a season to forget for the Seminole, but this year, the Indians are as ready as ever for a bounce back campaign.
The strength of this team will undoubtedly by the defense-with seven starters returning. Helping lead the squad is junior Kason Rosales-who has made leaps and bounds in his overall development since starting last year.
"He's grown and not just grown as a football player athletically in getting stronger and bigger and all that, but leadership-wise as well."
"Mostly pray to God, let Him get me through it. Be a team leader and just show other guys what they need to do and how to do it."
To achieve better success in a 2-3A district which is heavy on the run, the Indians are banking on both upperclassmen and underclassmen to lay down the hammer.
"I think we'll be able to stop the running game. We'll have maturity to stop all that stuff unlike last year."
"Oh, we’re going to bring some pain. Well, know our coverage’s, know what we're supposed to do, and when they cross our side -- we're going to hurt 'em.”
It's that kind of mentality that will help Seminole look towards the future. And even though you can't change the past-the Indians are looking head on and are eager for the season to start.
"We're coming after that district championship. I have faith in all my brothers and my coaches. We're going to be something to go against,"
