Salvation Army In Midland Receives Two Coins Worth $1,600

Lots of generous donors gave to the Salvation Army this year, and whether they realized it or not, two of their two coins are worth a combined $1,600!
MIDLAND -- Lots of generous donors gave to the Salvation Army this year, and whether they realized it or not, two of their two coins are worth a combined $1,600!

Captain of the Midland Salvation Army, Captain Tex Ellis says for the 4th year in a row, they received a 1935 Swiss 20 Franc coin while collecting in Midland.

But this year, they also received an 1897 US $10 gold coin.

A collector will be buying both coins from the non profit, for a total of $1,600.
