RockHounds Offense Silenced, Lose 2nd Straight

The RockHounds offense was silenced in Sunday's loss to the Travelers. Midland lose 2nd straight to Arkansas.
The first inning started off great defensively for the Hounds, as Chad Oberacker made a fully extended diving catch in deep right center field to save a triple.

Then things got interesting for Midland. In the 2nd, Oberacker made another running catch in the outfield, but was run into by right fielder Connor Crumbliss. No harm was done in that inning.

But in the 3rd, with two men on and two outs, Zach Neal made the pitch he needed to make. Taylor Lindsey hit a routine pop fly to short right field, Dusty Coleman ran out and Connor Crumbliss was coming in, no communication was made between the two fielders and the ball drops allowing a run to come across and score.

Midland would get out of the 3rd with only two runs against, but the floodgates would open.

Arkansas would go on to win this one by a final score of 10-0, and will look to sweep Midland on Monday night at 6:30 from Citibank Ballpark.
