Rebels Going for District Title vs. San Angelo Central

Midland Lee is already in the playoffs, but the Rebels are looking to win the District 2-5A title outright Friday night against San Angelo Central.
Midland Lee is stress free heading into Friday night's regular season finale against San Angelo Central. The Rebels have already clinched a playoff spot, as well as a share of the district 2-5A championship, but can win the title outright with a victory over the Bobcats.

In order for the Rebels to come out of San Angelo as District Champs, they will need to slow down the Bobcats quarterback Mickey Scott. Lee head coach James Morton knows it won't be an easy task, but it's something that the Rebels will focus on. Morton said "We've got to find a way to contain him. The problem is if you do cover their receivers down the field which is hard to do with that receiving group, and then he's going to break out on a scramble and have a big run. We've got to do a good job obviously we have to mix it up and keep them off balance. But at the same time we have to be putting points up on the board with our offense."
