Reagan County Owls 2013 Football Season Preview

The Owls started quick but faded down the stretch in 2012. Their goal in 2013 is to learn how to finish strong.

The Reagan County Owls will be sure to see their way through the finish line this season after a disappointing 1-4 finish in District 3-2A a year ago. 2nd year head coach Ken Campbell knows what his offensive strength will be coming into this new year.

"Our strength is our offensive lineman, and we've got some good backs behind them. So we plan on pounding the ball" said coach Campbell.

On defense the Owls will be watching and waiting to attack opposing offenses.

Campbell added "Our kids take a lot of pride in defense and they know that's how you win championships. They're going to run to the ball."

So what differences can you expect from Reagan County in 2013?

Senior tight-end/defensive back said "The amount of effort will be different. With it being Coach Campbell’s second year here everyone has really bought in."

The Owls have 11 returning starters on both sides of the ball, and they have one main purpose to their 2013 campaign.

"We just have to learn how to finish strong" said senior linebacker B.J. Avila.

"Do what we're told to do and what we're taught. Hit them in the mouth as hard as we can" Pullig said.
