Rain chances for Friday, August 23

We could see some late afternoon storms on Friday, then we will clear out and return to average temperatures.
We could see some thunderstorm activity make it into the Permian Basin on Friday.

We are expecting at 20% chance for isolated storms, mainly for the late afternoon and early evening hours on Friday.

Any thunderstorms that do form could have heavy rain, gusty winds, lightning and even some small hail.

Saturday looks to be party cloudy to mostly sunny and we could see a slight chance for some rain showers.

Then, as many schools go back to class on Monday, we will being to dry out and return to average temperatures with highs in the low 90s and lows between 68 and 71 degrees.
