The Pecos Eagles have been District Champions two of the past three seasons. It's safe to say there's a target on their backs in District 3-3A heading into the 2013 campaign.
Head Coach Chris Henson said "We love the pressure, the kids respond well to it. They're excited about the season and the opportunities it's going to bring."
One thing the Eagles have on their side is plenty of experience; something Coach Henson thinks will help his eagles soar to a playoff victory.
"We're all in for it. We want to take that next step. We've been to the playoffs five years in a row which is a school record. But we want to win that playoff game which hasn't been done in Pecos since 1975. So that's the next step for us is to win some playoff games" Henson added.
The Eagles have twenty starters who will be seniors, and on defense they'll be led by Ignacio Rodriguez, the team's leading tackler from a year ago is ready to go all in with his teammates.
Rodriguez said "All in. Everybody is working together, putting all of our effort into it. Not taking a play off, not taking a day off by cutting reps or anything."
