New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Florida Panthers have been selected as the host for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
The BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. will be the site for the two-day draft, set for June 26-27, 2015.
"The draft is where the future of the NHL begins to take shape, and the BB&T Center is an ideal setting in which to enjoy the excitement as we welcome our next generation of stars," said NHL commissioner Gary Bettman in a statement Tuesday.
The Panthers previously hosted the draft in 2001 when Ilya Kovalchuk was chosen with the first overall pick.
"On behalf of the entire Florida Panthers organization we are thrilled and honored to welcome the NHL Draft back to the BB&T Center and Broward County," said Panthers president & CEO Michael R. Yormark.
The 2014 draft will be hosted by the Philadelphia Flyers from June 27-28 at the Wells Fargo Center.
