OHS Still Alive After Defeating MHS

The Bronchos rushing attack once again proved to be too much for their opponent, as OHS ran past Midland High 35-30 and remained alive in the 2-5A playoff race.
Odessa High needed a victory against Midland High on Friday night to stay alive in the District 2-5A playoff race.

The Bronchos got that victory behind the legs of senior running back C.J. Eddison, who rushed for over 200 yards and accounted for all five of the Bronchos touchdowns. OHS head coach Ron King talked to Big 2 Sports about what he liked most about his teams victory, saying "I was real proud of our kids. They showed great resiliency to be down seventeen-nothing, it's real easy to pack it in and fold your tent up, but our kids just kept battling and kept competing, kept scrapping and I was very proud of the way they performed in that game and it's been something we've been preaching to them all year-- the mental toughness aspect of it -- and it really showed Friday night against Midland High."
