Odessa High Hires New Baseball Coach

The Odessa High Bronchos have a new head baseball coach, one who is very familiar with the Odessa High tradition.
When hiring a head coach, it can be important to bring in someone who is familiar with the tradition of a school and the people around the community.

When Odessa High lost coach LeRoy Mansanales last week, they knew just who to go after.

Joshua Hulin was named the new head coach for the Bronchos this afternoon in a press conference held by ECISD. Hulin has been an assistant coach at Odessa High since 2007, and was raised in west Odessa.

Hulin has a tremendous Baseball background, from playing at Odessa College and Texas A&M Corpus Christi, to coaching at Western Texas College as well as several collegiate summer leagues.

Hulin told us this afternoon " I'm extremely excited that I get to stay in Odessa and coach Baseball. This is where I grew up, these are the people I'm familiar with and comfortable around. Not only Odessa but the west side of Odessa because that's Odessa High."
