MIDLAND -- A new business park broke ground today near the Midland airport.
Bombardier Business Park, which will be similar to the Parks Legado area, will be located on FM 1788 near Loop 40.
The park will have retail and industrial space available, and they're also offering build to suit services.
The Younger family, who owns the property, says the name of the park has special significance, as Midland International Airport was the site of the Midland Army Airfield Bombardier School, where thousands were trained for action during world war 2.
"The Younger family, that has owned this property for some 60 years is very proud to join together with these professionals and try to develop this land in a way that will be beneficial to the airpark as well as to our group."
Developers say the first building is set to be finished by January 2014, and they still have space available for sale or lease.
