National Collect Week for Operation Christmas Child

This week is National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child.
MIDLAND -- This week is National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child is a worldwide project that gives gift boxes to children in need and shares the gospel with them for Christmas.


They will be accepting gift-filled shoeboxes during Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week, Nov. 18-25.

A shoebox can be filled with small toys for a boy or girl between the ages of two and 14 years, school supplies, hygiene items and notes of encouragement.

The gift-filled shoeboxes will be delivered worldwide to children in need.

Shoeboxes can be dropped off at:

Sherwood Baptist Church - 505 E. 42nd St., Odessa, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 18-23, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 24 and 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 25

Midland Bible Church - 5900 Whitman Drive, Midland., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 18 and Nov. 21-22, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 19-20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 23 and 25 and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 24

Allan’s Furniture, 202 Scurry St., Big Spring, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 18-22, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 23, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 24 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 25.
