MIDLAND -- Midland students are getting a special musical treat!

Monday, the Midland-Odessa Symphony and Chorale, or MOSC, kicked off its four day in-school concert series, which allows professional musicians to share their musical talent with young students.

The instrument ensemble Lone Star Brass played at four different MISD elementary schools on Monday. The group concluded its performances at Travis Elementary.

"It's just a lot of fun to show them the beauty of music and the excitement of music and the future career possibilities of being a musician,” explained Lone Star Brass member, Eric Baker.

The Lone Star Brass ensemble also played at South, Carver and Washington elementaries on Monday.

The Lone Star Brass group will continue its in-school performances on Tuesday.

Then two other instrument ensembles -- The Permian Basin String Quartet and West Texas Winds -- will be presenting additional performances at other MISD schools through Thursday.
