Lee's Morton Proud of Coots First Game as Rebels Quarterback

The Rebels had a convincing win in Week Zero, but face a tough task in Southlake Carroll for Week 1.

The Midland Lee Rebels put up some hefty offensive numbers in week zero. Over 500 yards of total offense and they put 48 points on the scoreboard against El Paso Coronado. The Rebels have a tough task at hand this week as they travel to the Dallas/Fort Worth and take on the Southlake Carroll Dragons. Coach James Morton talked about his emerging quarterback Caden Coots and what needs to be done on Friday night in order for his Rebels to hang tough with the Dragons.

"I think the thing that's great about Caden for me and for my staff is that you guys don't see what he does in the huddle and what he does through the week in preparation. Just his overall leadership and keeping everybody calm in the huddle and talking about the mentality that we need to have. He's doing a great job in that area too" said Morton.
