Lee Rebels use well balanced attack in rout of Odessa High

Midland Lee started strong, and never stepped off the gas pedal as they took care of Odessa High 41-7 on Homecoming.
Midland Lee has been cruising through their district opponents so far through three games. Using a well balanced offensive attack, the Rebels are thriving under pressure and executing their game plan. Although head coach James Morton is satisfied with where his team currently sits, he still wants to see the Rebels rushing attack become more consistent.

But the biggest surprise to Morton isn't the offense, it has been the growth and maturation of his defense.

"I think defensively is where I have to be the most pleased with our effort. I thought that our front seven gave great effort, especially our defensive tackles continuing to get better each week and that was a big concern going into the season is how those guys would play but overall -- pleased with our performance. The thing we gotta do is put four quarters together and we didn't do that but I thought we played a great first half" said Morton.
