One man and one woman are now facing felony charges after a drug and firearm bust in Lea County.
HOBBS -- One man and one woman are now facing felony charges after a drug and firearm bust in Lea County.

The Lea County Drug Task Force searched a home in Hobbs and found 28 grams of meth, along with a handgun.

The drugs are worth about $2,800.

Joe Black is now being charged with trafficking meth, felon in possession of a handgun and possession of cocaine, all felonies.

Mercedes Alverez is being charged with trafficking meth and probation violation.

Officers say that while executing the search warrant, a man drove up, then got out and came up to an agent who recognized he was intoxicated.

He was arrested for DWI.
