Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Winnipeg Jets have placed forward Evander Kane on injured reserve because of a hand injury.

Kane has already missed two games because of the issue and hasn't played since Jan. 7 against Tampa Bay. He also missed time in early December with a lower body injury.

The 22-year-old veteran has 14 goals and 11 assists for 25 points in 38 games this season, his fifth with the Winnipeg/Atlanta franchise.

Winnipeg recalled forward Carl Klingberg from its American Hockey League affiliate in St. John's to fill the roster spot. Klingberg has played seven games for the franchise, but none since 2011-12, and this season has 11 goals in 33 games for the IceCaps.
