MIDLAND -- Hundreds of West Texas families will be getting to enjoy a fresh holiday meal.
HEB along with Midland Community and Senior Services kicked off the holiday season today and started to prepare for their annual Fest of Sharing.
This community dinner happens Friday at the horseshoe arena from 4 until 8.
HEB said it's already started to prep the 7,500 meals they plan to serve.
"Some of the items we will be having are 18-hundred and 25 pounds of turkey, 17-hundred pounds of cornbread dressing, 90 gallons of gravy, 17-hundred pounds of mash potatoes, 60 gallons of cranberry sauce, 2 pounds of vegetables," Bob Murphy said.
The whole community is encourage to come out and enjoy this free meal.
31 Fest of Sharing dinners are held across Texas and Mexico with more than 250,000 meals served to communities.
