Heavy Rainfall Expected Through Friday

Widespread stormy conditions will continue for the area.
Widespread storms will continue through Friday.

Right now, there is a Flash Flood Watch for most of the West Texas viewing area through Friday night at 7pm.

Some of the rainfall could become heavy at times.

Our setup on Friday includes a cold front to the north and tropical moisture to the south giving us another good shot at storms.

Friday, we expect a 60% chance for storms in the Central Basin, 30-50% for the Northern Basin and 40-70% in the Trans Pecos and mountain areas.

Storm totals are expected to be one to two inches of rain for the Central Basin, with the possibility of more than two inches in areas to the southeast and east.
