The Grady Wildcats are expecting big things in 2013. Leading the offense is E.J. Rodriguez, the dual threat Quarterback and Running Back was named the preseason offensive MVP for District 4.
Rodriguez accounted for 3,000 total yards last year, however he is making sure to put the early recognition on the back burner.
Rodriguez said "Sometimes those things do get to your head and mostly I really don't and just do it for the team and hopefully it just comes as it comes."
Besides Rodriguez, the success may come with a majority of the team returning. Many who were members of Grady's State Championship Track team.
Coach Chris Kuykendall has his team licking their chops for a taste of the title.
"I think these guys are hungry for more success. They've tasted it. They understand what it takes to get there. We're hoping that they're coming into this season with that mentality that we're gonna start working hard so that we can satisfy that appetite for more success."
