Government Shutdown Ends, Obama Signs Bill to End it

The 16-day Government shutdown is over.
The deal is done. The 16-day Government shutdown is over. President Barack Obama signed a bill early Thursday to reopen the Government and raise the debt ceiling.

Hours after the house and Senate approved the plan. But, the deal is only a temporary fix. The measure funds the Government through early January.

It also raises the debt limit through early February, saving the country from defaulting on its bills.
