Freezing Temperatures, Wintry Mix Expected all Weekend

A look at your icy weekend forecast, plus the difference in how freezing rain, sleet and snow forms.
We remained below the freezing mark most of the day Friday, with a nearly constant drizzle and even some freezing rain and sleet.

Roads will have the possibility to ice over all weekend long as we're not expected to get above the freezing mark in some areas.

We will keep the probability of a wintry mix all weekend - freezing rain, sleet and even some snow.

Ice accumulations could be 0.10 inch - but that is enough to create dangerous conditions on the roads.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning will be cold and icy. We start to warm above the freezing mark on Monday afternoon and could see the wintry mix turn into rain then.

If you don't have to go anywhere, this would be a good weekend to stay warm indoors.

We dry out on Tuesday and begin a gradual warm up.
