Guiding the Fort Davis Indians this year is former Sul Ross head coach Wayne Schroeder.
He's looking to reverse the win-loss total from last year's 3-7 season.
Coach Schroeder will be leaning heavily on his seniors, particularly Quarterback/Linebacker Quentin Mathes and athlete Hilario Hernandez. So far, the transition from 11-man to 6-man ball has been smooth sailing for coach Schroeder.
"What we're picked to finish means absolutely nothing. We've got five seniors right there that are doing a great job of leadership. They're doing a great job of mentoring our younger players" said coach Schroeder.
