MIDLAND -- Bullying is one of the many challenges young people face and many believe social media is making the problem more prevalent.
Some local students are doing their part to stop bullying planning to give a presentation at the Midland Center on October 28.
Organizers say the goal of the presentation is to discourage bullying by raising awareness about it's damaging effects.
The event will include a number of guest speakers.
Former Harlem Globetrotter, Melvin Adams is set to speak.
Organizers say the event will begin with a movie about bullying then local artists and guest speakers will then take the stage.
The event is monday October 28.
Doors open at 6:00 pm and the show starts at 7:00 pm.
