Firefighters Buy Midland Students New Coats

The Firefighters Association of Midland is working to make sure kids stay warm this winter with their annual Coats for Kids drive.

MIDLAND -- The Firefighters Association of Midland is working to make sure kids stay warm this winter with their annual Coats for Kids drive.

200 Students at Crockett Elementary were given winter coats by the firefighters on Friday.

The program targets less fortunate children living in Midland, and all the coats they get are brand new.

Not only did 200 kids get new coats, they also got to check out the fire truck.

The Professional Firefighters Association of Midland was prepared to pay for all the coats themselves, but there was also a website set up where other people could donate to the cause.
