District 2-5A Preview: Odessa High vs SA Central

OHS head coach Ron King and the Bronchos know they'll be facing their toughest opponent yet in San Angelo Central
OHS head coach Ron King and Co. have started the 2013 season with a surprising 2-1 bang, and Friday night -- they'll be pitted against the undefeated (3-0), high-octane San Angelo Central Bobcats. Boasting all-state quarterback Mickey Scott, this year's Bobcats team have averaged 63 points a game as well as over 600 yards per game.

"Mickey is gonna get his yardage, one way or another," said King. "The main thing is not allow him to beat you with big plays. He has a great ability to scramble out of situations so pass-rush wise, we gotta stay in our lanes, we gotta contain him and force him to throw the ball when he doesn't want to. Of course that's easier said than done, but for us, we need to make sure we're where we need to be defensively in our assignments and just make sure we don't beat ourselves with the big plays, and then basically get them off the field on third down conversions."
