You Can't Carry Marijuana Everywhere in Colorado

It is now legal in Colorado for people to buy marijuana for recreational use.
It is now legal in Colorado for people to buy marijuana for recreational use. But, that doesn't mean you can have it on you anywhere. The Denver Airport is warning air travelers that they may not carry marijuana through the airport.

An airport spokeswoman says officials won't search people for the drug and there won't be drug dogs patrolling for the substance, but if you're searched for another reason and caught with marijuana, you could face a stiff $999.00. The Transportation Security Administration says agents will not look for marijuana in carry-ons or people's pockets at checkpoints.

However, if agents happen to find the drug, the agency says it will be confiscated and airport police will be alerted. The TSA warns that passengers who are traveling to states where marijuana is illegal could face more consequences.
