UPDATE: Runaway Inmate Captured After Two-Day Search

Our sister station, KLBK reports that Randy Allen Williams has been captured, two days after escaping from the county jail.
LUBBOCK, TX (Local Big 2 News) -- (UPDATE) Authorities catch up to a Lubbock inmate who was on the run after a two-day search, according to our sister station KLBK.

Police say Randy "Allen" Williams, 49, escaped from the county jail on Tuesday after stealing a county truck.

The Lubbock county sheriff says Williams was caught in Clovis, New Mexico yesterday and is awaiting extradition.

Williams was being held for previous DWI, theft and drug possession charges.

ORIGINAL STORY: Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for an inmate who escaped around 11:00 Tuesday morning from the Lubbock County Jail.

Initial reports say Randy Allen Williams,49, escaped in a Lubbock County truck. The Ford F-150 is white with a light bar on top, has "Lubbock County Fleet Services" marked on the side, and the number 7920 is on the back tailgate.

Deputies are spanning the county trying to locate him. According to his jail booking sheet Williams lives in the 1600 block of 114th Street.

He was held for DWI, theft, and possession of a small quantity of a controlled substance.
