UPDATE: Four Killed in Crash Along Highway 285

A two-vehicle accident along U.S. Highway 285 claimed four lives.
PECOS COUNTY (Local Big 2 News) -- Troopers have released the names of the four people killed in the horrible crash along U.S. Highway 285.

All four victims were from Roma, in South Texas. Two of the victims were teenagers and the youngest victim was a baby.

Troopers say Gilberto Gonzalez, 21, died behind the wheel. Troopers say the three passengers killed were: Selene Verenise Leal, 19; Martin Guardiola, Jr., 18, and Gilberto Gonzalez, Jr., 10 months.

DESCRIPTION:
Unit #1 was traveling southbound on US 285. Unit #2 was traveling northbound on US 285. Unit #1 drove into northbound lane. Unit #1 struck the front of Unit #2 with the front of Unit #1.

PECOS COUNTY (Local Big 2 News) -- A two-vehicle accident along U.S. Highway 285 claimed four lives Wednesday.

Troopers tell Local Big 2 the deadly crash happened around 12:20 p.m. about 35 miles south of Fort Stockton.

Troopers say the wreck involved a semi-truck and a "passenger vehicle."

TX-DOT crews shut down Highway 285 for hours as they worked to clear the crash.
