Striping Project Spans Nine Cities

More roadwork will be coming to nine west Texas cities. It's all part of a striping project to re-paint the stripes on roads.
ODESSA, TX (BIG 2 NEWS) -- More roadwork will be coming to nine west Texas cities. It's all part of a striping project to re-paint the stripes on roads.

Here's are the details from TX-DOT:

Odessa-based L&L Company will spend the next two months doing striping on several roads throughout the Odessa District as part of a $319,441 contract. The majority of striping will be done in urban areas.

Striping roads requires a highly mobile operation. Motorists should be on the alert for striping crews the rest of April and through May and June. Motorists are asked to give the crews plenty of room to work for the safety of the workers and the traveling public.

It is very important that motorists DO NOT weave between the vehicles in the mobile operation. Weaving between the vehicles in the mobile operation is very, very dangerous. Motorists should also refrain from crossing over fresh striping to avoid getting paint on their vehicles.

State law requires motorists to obey and warning signs and flaggers that may be in the work area.
