A stationary front moving into the Permian Basin is bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms to the region Tuesday night into Wednesday. The front will also bring relief from the heat, with high temperatures only getting near 90 for much of the Basin on Wednesday. Storm chances diminish significantly by the end of the week, setting up a great fourth of July forecast with a clear sky, temperatures in the middle 90's for highs and winds not too strong.
