After a string of days with temperatures in the triple digits, a cool down later this week will be welcomed by many. High temperatures Monday through Wednesday will approach 100 once again, with mostly sunny skies. Any storms early this week should be confined to the extreme northern portions of the Permian Basin (Seminole), SE New Mexico, and the Guadalupe/Davis Mountain. A cold front expected to approach late week will mean cooler temperatures and a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms.
