A risk for hit and miss showers and thunderstorms will exist from Thursday night until Monday afternoon. Some of the storms will be strong to severe, especially during the afternoon hours of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Any storm could contain strong winds greater than 60 mph, hail greater than 1 inch in diameter, and deadly cloud to ground lightning. However, the weekend will not be a washout. Most of the daytime hours will be dry, with only brief 1-2 hour periods of showers and storms. High temperatures will be seasonable through Memorial Day, in the middle to upper 80's. Heat returns the middle of next week, with high's back into the upper 90's.
