RockHounds Bats Silenced by the Missions

Midland shut down by San Antonio, fall 3-0.
Zach Neal picked up his fourth loss of the season on Friday, as the Missions were able to shut down the RockHound offense.

Neal pitched great, only allowing one earned run in eight innings pitched. Neal struck out four batters, and received the loss since his offense couldn't any runs on the board.

It was a group effort for San Antonio, where starter Keyvius Sampson came away with the victory after throwing 5.2 innings, allowing five hits and striking out four. Matt Stites picked up his third save of the season.

Midland now falls to 31-36 on the season, 10.5 games back of the first place Corpus Christi Hooks.

San Antonio improves their record to 36-30, 5 games back of Corpus.

Game 4 of this series is scheduled for Saturday, June 15th at 7:00 PM from Citibank Ballpark.
