MIDLAND -- Last Friday night, it seemed as though the Lee Rebels would break the trend of Metroplex teams beating those in the Permian Basin.

After finding themselves in a 10-0 hole, the Rebels put up 21 points in the first half and had a four point lead at halftime, but that is all they would get on the board for the night. The Blue Raiders offense dominated time of possession in the second half, which led to their comeback win.

If there is a positive from this loss, it's that the Rebels played a very competitive game against a very good team.

"You start watching the game itself, come back and watch it on video, and you start seeing a group that got hit in the mouth early, come back and start playing at a higher level," head coach James Morton said.
