Rebels Ready for Hungry Abilene Eagles

A tale of two teams going in opposite directions as Midland Lee (4-1) travels to Abilene to take on the 1-5 Eagles.
Midland Lee will travel east down Interstate 20 on Friday night to take on a team that will be hungry for a victory. The Rebels are 4-1, 3-0 in District play and will be in Shotwell Stadium taking on the Abilene Eagles, who have won only one game so far in 2013.

Lee head coach James Morton's offense has been clicking in all aspects, although he still wants to see more consistency from his running game.

Morton talked about the struggling Eagles, and he knows you can't take them lightly, saying "We're expecting a great game from Abilene High. I compare them to an wounded animal, when they become injured they become more dangerous. I think that's where they are. If you watch individual plays that they make, they're making great plays. They're just not being consistent. The turn over bug has hurt them a lot. If they take that out of the equation I think they become a lot more of a competitive team. I think it's going to be a game that could go down to the wire."
