Permian High Hires New Baseball Coach

The Permian Panthers hired a new head baseball coach, one with MOJO ties from back in the 1990's.
Permian Head Football coach and Athletic Director Blake Feldt this afternoon "It's important that we brought in someone who understands the Permian Panther tradition" when talking about Permian's decision on hiring their next head baseball coach.

The MOJO did just that. Chad Coleman was hired as the next head coach for the Permian Panthers baseball team today, and he is very familiar with west Texas, as well as Permian high.

Coleman's father Steve was the head coach of the Panthers in the mid 1990's, and Chad attended ECISD during that time.

Chad Coleman received his Bachelor's degree from Hardin Simmons University where he was also a Graduate Assistant.

Coleman has coached at Levelland High School, Brownwood High School, and most recently has been an assistant coach across town at Midland Lee.

Coach Coleman spoke this afternoon and said "Yeah I'm very excited. I want to bring a positive environment to the Permian Panther baseball program. With a hard working, blue collar mentality to the Permian Panthers. And just to bring excitement back to the program once again."
