One Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Odessa

The Odessa Police Department and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to the 6400 block of East State Highway 191 in reference to a car-pedestrian crash.
ODESSA -- The Odessa Police Department and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to the 6400 block of East State Highway 191 in reference to a car-pedestrian crash.

Investigation revealed that a 1997 Honda motorcycle, being operated by Edward Brady, 24 years of age, was traveling eastbound in the 6400 block of East State Highway 191. Brady failed to control speed and lost control of the motorcycle, causing him to be ejected onto the South service road of State Highway 191. Brady was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

A 2008 Ford Crown Vic, being operated by Christopher Jordan, 43 years of age, was traveling eastbound on the South service road of the 6400 block of East State Highway 191. While Brady was laying in the roadway, he was struck by the Crown Vic.

Brady was pronounced dead at the scene by the Medical Examiner’s Office and next of kin has been notified.

No charges are being filed at this time as the investigation continues.
