OHS Rushes to the Record Book in Bi-District Game against EP Franklin

The Bronchos returned to the post season for the first time since 2010, and rushed their way to a convincing 61-15 victory over El Paso Franklin.
The Odessa High Football team returned to the post season for the first time since 2010 when they took on El Paso Franklin in the Bi-District round of the playoffs.

Not only did the Bronchos win the game, they set two school records in the process.

In what was a 61-15 victory, OHS put up 552 yards of total offense which was one record. The other was from senior running back C.J. Eddison, who rushed for 384 yards, breaking the previous record of 380 held by current Texas Tech wide receiver Bradley Marquez.

OHS head coach Ron King said the rushing record was almost avoided, as he contemplated resting C.J. after the game was well in hand.

King said "I was not real sure. The coaches let me know where he was there towards the end (be)cause I was getting ready to put him out. But you know in that situation, having the opportunity to break a record here and as hard as C.J. has worked I felt like he deserved that opportunity."
