OHS Head Coach King Braces For Another Dual Threat QB with Lorenzo Joe

After facing arguably the district's best quarterback in Mickey Scott and the SA Central Bobcats last week, coach King directs his Bronchos attention towards another game changing quarterback in Abilene Cooper's Lorenzo Joe.

The Odessa High Bronchos had their crack at figuring out San Angelo Central's all-state quarterback Mickey Scott last and fell short. This week, the Bronchos (2-2) are focusing their attention at another game-changing all-district QB in Abilene Cooper's Lorenzo Joe.

"Lorenzo does a great job of running," said Odessa head coach Ron King, "scrambling around and does a good job of throwing the football, so he's the catalyst of their offense, and we're gonna have to contain him and not allow him to get big plays on us. The thing that we can do to help our defense is to have continuous drives -- long continuous drives-- and move the sticks and keep their offense off the field and eliminate the mistakes that we made against San Angelo and we'll have an opportunity to have some success Friday night against Cooper."
