The 'Genesis Center' offers many resources for the homeless here in the Permian Basin.
MIDLAND, TX (Local Big 2 News) -- A new non profit helps the new face of homelessness in the Permian Basin: women and their children.

The Genesis Center opened its doors Monday.

On its first day, the center already has over a hundred clients.

The non profit offers a 12-month program that helps homeless mothers and their children get back on their feet.

The center offers a place to stay for these clients, as well as life skill training.

A benefit concert was held for the organization on Friday.
