MISD Shifts School Day for its Jr. High & High Schools

Midland ISD announces the school day will shift 10 minutes later for all its junior high and high schools this upcoming school year.
MIDLAND, TX (LOCAL BIG 2 NEWS) – Midland ISD announces the school day will shift 10 minutes later for all its junior high and high schools this upcoming school year.

Instead of an 8:30 to 3:55 school day, the secondary schools will all have an 8:40 to 4:05 school day.

The district made the change to accommodate transportation needs.

School administrators say they transport more than 6,000 students daily, over the more than 700 square mile district.
