Midland High Must Finish Drives vs. Abilene High

Midland High is tied for the 4th and final playoff spot with three other teams in District 2-5A, and on Friday they'll square off with one of those teams in Abilene High.
Midland High is still alive in the District 2-5A playoff race, and tied for the 4th and final playoff spot. Friday night the Bulldogs will play one of the team's their tied with, the Abilene High Eagles.

MHS lost to Odessa High 35-30 last week, and head coach Craig Yenzer wasn't pleased with how many points his team left on the board.

Yenzer said "Obviously we have to finish drives and that is something that we've emphasized to our team this week. We'll continue to address it as the week goes on. You have got to finish those things. You have to score touchdowns. Those are things that continue to plague us, just the continuity and the execution level. Making critical mistakes at critical times and not finishing drives. Obviously those are things we can't afford to do against a really good Abilene High team this week."

For the Bulldogs to make the post season, they need to beat Abilene on Friday, and hope for an Odessa High loss to Amarillo Tascosa.
